In recent
years, there has been a growing realization that the Internet is
fundamentally altering our perception of traditional education. In many
ways, the Internet represents a paradigm shift in education both for the
provider and the student. A realization is setting in that interactive
on-line programs offers a cost-effective alternative to campus-based
education. As we move into the 21st century, distance-education through
the Internet-based technologies is expected to dominate from the high
school to the doctorate level. The University offers a variety of
academic programs for individuals who demonstrate a high-level of
aspirations but find it difficult to attend a residential university
full-time. The University was founded on the principle that excellent
education can be made available in a non-traditional way to students who
are self-motivated and eager to learn the latest in the discipline of
their choice.
The University is on the cutting-edge in the delivery of quality
education through the modern means of communications.
The defining feature of the University programs is Interactive Distance Learning whereby students do not need to attend the University in person. Student work may be assessed by Assignments or Examinations at the end of the course. The written assignments and examinations are sent back to be marked and evaluated by the University. The Interactive Distance Learning process occurs between the student and the tutor, through phone, letter, fax or by e-mail.
My colleagues and I invite you to read through the catalog and chart your course of study and take advantage of the degree programs offered by the University.
